Six Degrees is dedicated to fostering and furthering careers by preparing students with the confidence, knowledge, and tools needed to be successful working professionals.

The 6 Performance Academy provides comprehensive and rigorous training in theatre, film, television, and voice-over performance offering a wide variety of classes and workshops for actors of every age. Award winning industry professionals use years of experience on-set, on-stage, and on-mic, to engage with small groups of actors in individualized, feedback-style instruction and critique, while pushing performances and careers forward using the natural strengths, abilities, and instincts of each student. With a focus on technique, readiness, and specificity, actors are challenged to find their personal approach to the work, and to reach their performance potential.

To prepare students for a successful career as a well-rounded and versatile working actor by offering comprehensive high level education in all performance mediums, taught by industry professionals. To build and foster relationships with the professional community of artists, arts organizations, and educational institutions in an effort to grow and sustain a healthy pool of talent in Alberta.

Terms and Conditions

  • All registrations must be paid in full to confirm a place in class unless otherwise confirmed in writing by Six Degrees.
  • Refunds will be issued up to 7 days prior to the first day of class minus a $15 cancellation fee.
  • Cancellations or refund requests made less than 7 days prior to the first class will incur a fee equivalent to 50% + GST of the total cost of the class.
  • No refunds will be issued once the class has begun.
  • Six Degrees reserves the right to cancel a class at any time. In this case, a full refund will be issued.
  • Scripts and Sides used in classes may only be used at Six Degrees for class purposes.

6 Performance Academy and ACTRA

Six Performance Academy is open to all actors regardless of union status.

All ACTRA Alberta members in good standing (including those with BG and Apprentice status) receive a $50 discount on all classes and workshops at Six. Use the discount code ACTRA50 when registering. (Please note: this code is case sensitive!)

Proof of membership will be required.

Full Alberta ACTRA Members are eligible for a scholarship in pursuit of their educational and/or professional development.
